Melanie Chisholm az 1990-es években kezdte karrierjét az angol Spice Girls lányegyüttes tagjaként. IF THAT WERE ME

Az „If That Were Me” című dalt Melanie Chisholm és Rick Nowels, egy amerikai dalszerző és producer írta közösen Chisholm debütáló szólóalbumának, a Northern Starnak a felvételein 1999-ben.
